mission Statement
We here at Full STEAM Ahead strive to introduce small humans to the wonderful world of Science and Robotics. Full STEAM Ahead is a group of teams from ages 4-18 focused on fostering a healthy learning, teamwork, and critical thinking environment. We love to think outside the box, discover new things, and create innovative solutions for challenging real-world problems. We use the philosophy set by FIRST, practicing Gracious Professionalism and Coopertition throughout the season, the community, and especially other teams. We strive to excel in self-control, learning, and creativity. In addition, we endeavor to bring positivity, experience, and education of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) to the community. Most importantly, FUN is mandatory.
Community Service Projects
Community Service projects are a massive component of Full STEAM Ahead. Each team picks a service project for each new season, such as; cleaning up trash from a riverbed in one of our town parks, volunteering for the TRACTOR Farm to Fork Dinner and the Empty Bowls dinner, creating many dog and cat toys for our local animal shelter, collecting hundreds of canned and dry goods for the local food bank, along with many more activities.
